TL;DR

Greta Gerwig is set to write and direct at least two Chronicles of Narnia movies for Netflix, as the streaming platform aims to expand its tentpole projects based on existing intellectual property. Gerwig, known for her successful adaptation of Little Women, may have the time, resources, and creative freedom to make these new adaptations exceptional, potentially surpassing the previous big-screen series. The acquisition of the rights to C.S. Lewis' classic novels by Netflix in 2018 opens up new possibilities for visually impressive and definitive adaptations.
