Kelly McCreary Departs 'Grey's Anatomy' After Nine Seasons as Maggie Pierce.
TL;DR
Kelly McCreary, who played Dr. Maggie Pierce on Grey's Anatomy for nine seasons, will be leaving the show after her final episode as a series regular airs on April 13. McCreary's departure follows Ellen Pompeo's farewell as a series regular in February, though Pompeo will return once more this season. McCreary's character has been navigating through marital problems with her husband, Dr. Winston Ndugu, and it appears choppy waters are ahead amid McCreary's impending departure.
