Quaid blasts Hathaway casting in Days of Thunder sequel

Randy Quaid slammed Anne Hathaway’s casting in the Days of Thunder sequel with Tom Cruise, calling her a “leftist, woke” and “horrible choice” and arguing Nicole Kidman should return; Hathaway and Cruise are set for a June 2028 follow-up with Hathaway as a team owner/engineer, directed by Jonathan Levine. It’s unclear if any of the original cast will reprise their roles, and reps for Cruise and Hathaway did not have public comments at publication.
