Amazon Drops Guadagnino’s Sam Altman Drama ‘Artificial’ After OpenAI Pact

Amazon MGM Studios has dropped Luca Guadagnino’s nearly finished film Artificial, a drama about OpenAI CEO Sam Altman starring Andrew Garfield. The decision follows Amazon’s February partnership with OpenAI to expand its use of AWS and develop AI models, and the project will be shopped to other studios as the filmmakers seek a new home.
