Focus Features Snaps Up Andrew Scott Biopic Elsinore for Fall Release

Focus Features has acquired North America and Latin America rights to Elsinore, Studiocanal’s biographical drama about Ian Charleson, directed by Simon Stone and led by Andrew Scott, with a limited release on Nov. 20 followed by expansion through Thanksgiving and December. Studiocanal will retain sales in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Benelux, Australia and New Zealand. The cast includes Olivia Colman, Billie Piper, Johnny Flynn and others; producers are Andrea Occhipinti, Gabrielle Tana, Carolyn Marks Blackwood, Mickey Liddell, Stefano Massenzi and Scott.
