Guadagnino’s AI-Drama Artificial Set for NYFF World Premiere

Luca Guadagnino’s drama Artificial, about OpenAI chief Sam Altman, will have its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on Oct. 5 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, with a cast led by Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro. Neon acquired the film after Amazon MGM dropped it, and it’s also slated for a gala at the London Film Festival, marking a buzzy arrival for a movie that tackles the AI era’s volatile power dynamics.
