Nicolas Cage's Renfield: A Disappointing Dracula Film.

Renfield, a comedic take on Bram Stoker's Dracula, features intermittently delightful and deranged performances from Nicolas Cage as the prince of vampires and Nicholas Hoult as his manservant. However, the film's slipshod, derivative, and juvenile writing lets down the strong cast, including Awkwafina and Ben Schwartz. While the action set pieces are enjoyable, the movie's attempts at humor and commentary on abusive relationships fall flat. Despite its flaws, Renfield showcases impressive depictions of classic Dracula powers and is in theaters now.
