"The Flash" Box Office Woes Highlight DC's Struggles for Warner Bros.

Despite a significant drop in its second weekend, The Flash is expected to remain atop the box office as the marketplace takes a breath before the arrival of Disney/Lucasfilm's Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Sony is hoping to bring comedies back to the screen with the R-rated No Hard Feelings, starring Jennifer Lawrence, while Focus Features is expanding Wes Anderson's Asteroid City. Holdovers Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Elemental will continue to fill in gaps on the chart. Despite the fallout of Flash and Elemental, the domestic box office is extremely healthy given all the product on marquees.
