TL;DR

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the latest game set in the Star Wars universe, contains a reference to Super Metroid's wall jumping tutorial. Instead of a command appearing on the screen, the game sees Cal Kestis learning the ropes from a trio of fluffy friends, similar to how Samus is shown what to do by the Etecoon in Super Metroid. The nod to one of Nintendo's greatest games has brought a smile to fans' faces.
