Streamers Demand Call of Duty Action in Support of Nickmercs
TL;DR
TimtheTatman has asked Call of Duty to remove his Operator skin in support of his friend Nickmercs, who had his skin removed from sale by Activision following anti-LGBTQ comments. It is unclear if Tim can walk away from his contract arbitrarily, and it remains to be seen how Activision will respond. The controversy has brought a national culture war front and center in the gaming community, with Nick's big-name friends lining up behind him and LGBTQ supporters finding themselves siding with Activision.
