"Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum Set for Demolition and Relocation Amid Redevelopment Plans"
TL;DR
The Farmington Hills City Council has approved plans to partially redevelop Hunter’s Square Shopping Center, which includes the demolition of Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum. Despite community outcry and a petition with over 52,000 signatures to save the iconic venue, the decision to move forward with the redevelopment project, including adding a new Meijer store, has disappointed many. The museum's owner, Jeremy Yagoda, has stated that the museum will not be closing but will be moving to a new location, although the exact details are yet to be determined.
