"Exploring Kristen Stewart's Radical Romance in Love Lies Bleeding"
TL;DR
"Love Lies Bleeding" is a mythic 1980s romance set in New Mexico, featuring Kristen Stewart as a gym manager named Lou, entangled in a delirium of female rage and romance. The film portrays queer attraction as intensely physical and subverts traditional ideals of femininity, with graphic violence and joyously gay sex acts. Directed by Rose Glass, the movie offers a gorgeously pulpy mashup of mood, mullet, and black humor, with Stewart delivering a standout performance.
