Avengers: Doomsday trailer uncovers a sprawling MCU reunion amid notable absences

Marvel Studios just dropped the first full Avengers: Doomsday trailer, stacking the screen with a massive cross‑MCU lineup headlined by Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom and Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers. The footage features Thor, Bucky Barnes, Shang-Chi, the Fantastic Four and X‑Men factions, Wakanda’s heroes with Namor and Namora, and a New Avengers crew led by Yelena Belova, plus a Loki presence. Missing, at least in this trailer, are Hulk, Spider‑Man, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury, Deadpool, Wolverine, Captain Marvel and the Guardians. Marvel has kept many cameos under wraps, with confirmation and full rosters likely to unfold closer to the film’s December 18 release.
