TL;DR

Uwe Boll defends Citizen Vigilante, saying Armie Hammer was perfect for the role and that they had a great time despite the film’s serious subject matter; Boll argues the movie will polarize audiences but has strong reception among viewers (citing 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and 4.5 on Amazon) and emphasizes audience impact over critics. Hammer’s camp previously said he was unhappy with the final cut, calling it hateful, amid his broader public troubles and a career downturn.
