Odyssey Clears $1B Overseas, Marking a Nolan International Milestone

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey crossed $1 billion at the international box office, becoming the 17th film to reach the milestone and the first Hollywood non-sequel/non-remake to do so since Avatar (2009). It opened to $264.1M globally with a $139.6M international opening, led by markets such as the UK & Ireland, China, France, Korea, Italy, Germany, Australia, Spain, Mexico and India. The Odyssey is Nolan's biggest opening in many markets and the top Nolan title on IMAX, with more than $457M in Imax earnings, and Universal notes strong year‑to‑date global box office, while extending the film’s 70MM IMAX run through the month.
