Snyder Takes a Crack at a Grittier Escape From New York
TL;DR
THR reports Zack Snyder is onboard to write and direct a theatrical remake of John Carpenter’s Escape From New York, aiming for a down-and-dirty, practically‑done update rather than slick superhero vibes. The project faces skepticism given past remake attempts and Snyder’s recent work, but Hollywood is watching to see if this cult classic can be reborn under his direction.
