"The Lesson": A Taut and Spicy British Thriller
TL;DR
"The Lesson" is a carefully taut literary mystery set in the English countryside, where the arrival of a live-in tutor disrupts the strained dynamic of a family. Directed by Alice Troughton, the film unfolds with intelligence and menace, with standout performances from Richard E. Grant and Julie Delpy. The screenplay by Alex MacKeith keeps the audience guessing as to who is manipulating whom in this den of deceit and desperation.
