Boygenius: The Super Indie-Rock Group's Debut Record and Friendship Obsession
TL;DR
Boygenius, the indie-rock supergroup consisting of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, have released their debut LP, The Record. The album showcases each artist's individual talents while also highlighting their chemistry as a group. The songs are more direct and personal, with a clearer shape and direction, and range from tongue-in-cheek friskiness to open-hearted, yearning vulnerability. The Record is a powerful and unfettered collection that suggests none of these artists have reached their full potential.
