TL;DR

After 65 years, Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" reaches the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You." The achievement is attributed to a major promotional push from Lee and her label, including a new music video, a holiday EP, and TikTok content. The success opens up the possibility of other holiday hits topping the charts in the future. The song's reign at the top spot may be temporary, with "All I Want" likely to reclaim its position.
