BTS Takes Artist of the Year as Katseye, Sombr, and Golden Sweep AMAs

At the 52nd American Music Awards, BTS won Artist of the Year, Katseye took New Artist of the Year, and Sombr captured multiple rock honors (Best Rock/Alternative Song and Best Rock/Alternative Album, with a third Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Artist award coming off-air). The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack won Best Soundtrack and The Singing Voices of HUNTR/X earned Song of the Year for “Golden.” Sabrina Carpenter claimed Album of the Year for Man’s Best Friend (awards announced after the broadcast), and several artists finished with three wins in total, while Taylor Swift was shut out despite eight nominations.
