Elton John paid tribute to his late friend George Michael on what would have been his 60th birthday during his Glastonbury 2023 set. He dedicated the song "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" to Michael and displayed a picture of him on the screens behind him. Brandon Flowers of The Killers also joined John as a special guest. Other guests included Rina Sawayama and Jacob Lusk. Lil Nas X performed before John's set.
