Kyle Gass Calls Trump Remark 'Terrible,' Tenacious D Vows Return After Break
TL;DR
Kyle Gass says joking about Donald Trump’s shooting during a 2024 Sydney show was “terrible judgment” and naive about the backlash. The remark helped trigger a backlash that led Tenacious D to cancel tour dates and take an extended break with Jack Black distancing himself from the incident. Gass says he’s shouldered the responsibility, they’ve hashed things out, and the duo plans to return, with Gass Band material and live album promotion in the mix.
