"Oliver Anthony's 'Rich Men North of Richmond' Strikes a Global Chord"
TL;DR
Oliver Anthony's song "Rich Men North of Richmond" debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making him the first artist to achieve this without any prior chart history. The song garnered millions of streams and downloads, despite not including YouTube streams in its chart calculation. Anthony's lyrics drew both praise and criticism, with many considering him an "industry plant." Country music also dominates the top three slots on the chart, marking the second time this year. Other notable entries include Olivia Rodrigo's "Bad Idea Right?" and Travis Scott's "Utopia" maintaining its position at the top of the albums chart.
