Thousands of mourners gathered in Nenagh, Ireland, to pay their respects to Shane MacGowan, the late frontman of The Pogues. The funeral service included performances by Nick Cave, Johnny Depp, and other musicians, who played songs by The Pogues and traditional Irish tunes. MacGowan's widow presented a collection of symbolic items, and Depp led a prayer. Mourners in Dublin also gathered to sing "Fairytale of New York" as MacGowan's cortège passed by.
