Slipknot Parts Ways With Sid Wilson After Nearly 30-Year Run

Slipknot has officially announced the sudden departure of Sid Wilson, effective immediately; the DJ/keyboardist had been with the band since 1998, nearly three decades. The group said they wish him the best in his future endeavors in a post that has since been removed. The news follows a history of past exits (Craig Jones in 2023, Chris Fehn in 2019) and the deaths of Joey Jordison (2021) and Paul Gray (2020); no reason for Wilson’s exit was given, TMZ first reported it, guitarist Jim Root urged caution about rumors, and the remaining members have yet to address the band’s future lineup.
