Steven Tyler Denies Sexual Assault Allegations Involving a Minor

Steven Tyler has denied all allegations of sexual assault and battery made against him by Julia Misley, who accused the Aerosmith singer of having a sexual relationship with her when she was a minor. Tyler's attorney has issued 24 affirmative defences, stating that all claims are "barred" as the claimant gave "consent", and added that Tyler should be granted immunity as he was "caretaker and/or guardian" at the time. The lawsuit was filed during California's Child Victims Act, which allowed victims of childhood sexual assault to come forward regardless of the statute of limitations.
