TL;DR

Taylor Swift’s Opalite rises to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving her 14 career No. 1s and tying Rihanna for the most Hot 100 leaders in history (beat by the Beatles at 20 and Mariah Carey at 19). The win was driven by stronger radio play and sales (168,000 copies, including 144,000 physicals), aided by Billboard’s rule change that excludes free YouTube streams and Swift’s two-day exclusive video on paid services.
