TL;DR

Thom Yorke's new band, The Smile, featuring Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and drummer Tom Skinner, has released their second album, "Wall of Eyes." While the band showcases a distinct sound and direction, Yorke's unmistakable voice still draws comparisons to Radiohead, raising questions about his ability to escape his own musical legacy. Despite moments of innovation and distinction, The Smile's music often evokes familiar echoes of Yorke's past work, leaving the band in the shadow of Radiohead's monumental influence.
