Vedder and Irglová Deliver Duet at Glen Hansard’s Dublin Farewell

At Glen Hansard’s funeral in Dublin, Eddie Vedder joined Markéta Irglová and members of The Frames to perform a duet of “The Song of Good Hope.” Vedder and Hansard had a long history of collaboration, with Hansard contributing to Vedder’s Ukulele Songs and playing with Vedder’s backing band The Earthlings, among other ties. Bono offered a spoken-word version of “Beautiful Day,” and Patti Smith left a voicemail tribute. Hansard died July 29 in a motorcycle crash outside Dublin, aged 56.
