Patrick Muldoon, Cult-Favorite Star of Starship Troopers and Days of Our Lives, Dies at 57

Patrick Muldoon, the actor best known for Starship Troopers and for Days of Our Lives, died at 57 from a heart attack at his Beverly Hills home, his girlfriend reported to TMZ. Over four decades, he played a string of heartthrobs and cad characters on film and television, including Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives and Zander Barcalow in Starship Troopers. Born in San Pedro, California, Muldoon attended Loyola High School and USC and also did modeling early in his career.
