Scott Bryce, Veteran Soap Star Behind Craig Montgomery, Dies at 68

Scott Bryce, the television actor best known for playing Craig Montgomery on As the World Turns and a regular on The WB’s Popular, died at age 68 after a battle with cancer, his son Jackson confirmed. Born January 6, 1958 in New York City, Bryce earned back-to-back Daytime Emmy nominations (1986 and 1987) for Lead Actor in a Drama Series for As the World Turns and built a 35-year career with dozens of TV roles, including The Facts of Life, Murphy Brown, The Golden Girls, Matlock, Law & Order, ER, 30 Rock, Homeland, Gossip Girl, Chicago P.D., Law & Order: SVU and Blue Bloods. He died July 12 following a long cancer battle; survivors beyond his son were not fully disclosed in the report.
