"Jeff Bezos Awards $100 Million to Eva Longoria and Others for Philanthropy"

Eva Longoria has been awarded $50 million from Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez as part of Bezos' annual "Courage & Civility" prize, which recognizes individuals making significant contributions to society. Longoria, a longtime advocate for Latino communities, plans to invest the money in educational programs, scholarships, mentorship, and entrepreneurship for Latinas through her foundation. Retired Navy four-star Adm. Bill McRaven also received $50 million for his work supporting veterans and the children of fallen soldiers. Bezos has been giving out these awards since 2021, with previous recipients including chef José Andrés, Dolly Parton, and Van Jones.
