Ted Cruz's Strange Pat Benatar Rant Draws Mockery and Confusion
TL;DR
Senator Ted Cruz mentioned Pat Benatar during an interview, seemingly trying to cast her as an emblem of Satan. He stated that even if there was video evidence of President Joe Biden murdering children dressed as the devil under a full moon while singing Pat Benatar, Senate Democrats still wouldn't vote to convict him. Many people found Cruz's mention of Benatar to be an incongruous choice and mocked him for it. Benatar and her husband responded with a slight clapback on their Facebook account.
