Elliot Page's Struggle with Queer Identity and Relationships

Elliot Page's family initially rejected his queer exploration, with his mother denying the existence of homosexuality and his father being estranged from him for over five years. However, his mother eventually came around and became an advocate and ally. Page is acknowledging and interrogating the reality of his trauma through therapy and writing his memoir, "Pageboy," which is available Tuesday. Despite the challenges he faced, Page recognizes his privilege and is grateful for his journey as a rare example of what it means to be trans.
