Elmo's neutral post wishing 'both teams have fun' during the NBA Finals drew fierce pushback from Knicks fans who labeled him a traitor for fence-sitting; even the NYPD teased him, joking that Elmo resembles Times Square impersonators. Elmo responded with a playful follow-up. The Knicks are in the Finals against the Spurs, their first since 1999, fueling celebration in New York City.
