NXT garnered a total audience of 921,000 and a .30 rating in the demo, while AEW delivered 609,000 viewers and a .26 rating. Despite being bumped off its usual night, AEW's rating held up well. The viewership for both shows combined increased by 7% compared to the previous year, and the NXT + AEW demo number was up by 27%. The competition took place against a Major League Baseball Playoff game and the NHL's opening night.
