Background

This episode followed a period of instability in the WWE Championship, which Sami Zayn reclaimed in September 2026 after a chaotic match against CM Punk. The show also continued storylines involving the women's division, where Fatal Influence had recently lost their tag titles, and the ongoing feud between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, which had escalated after Rhodes punted Baron Corbin. The event took place in Canada, Sami Zayn's home country, adding a local element to his promo.

Bleacher Report graded the Sami Zayn promo and Orton-Rhodes segment as C+, citing a lack of new ground, while giving the Green-Perez match and Monroe-Giulia Street Fight B- grades.
