Bridgerton Season 4 Ends with Benedict and Sophie’s Wedding, Teasing Season 5
TL;DR
Variety’s interview with Bridgerton Season 4 showrunner Jess Brownell explains the finale’s post‑credits wedding for Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek, blessed by Queen Charlotte through a crafted lie about Sophie’s status. The piece also covers Araminta’s villainy, Penelope stepping down as Whistledown with a new narrator teased, Violet and Danbury’s evolving storyline, and Francesca’s fertility arc sparked by John’s death, all setting up Season 5. It confirms Benedict’s bisexuality and Sophie’s backstory, plus hints at future returns for Daphne and Simon and the ongoing Whistledown mystery.
