Clueless Sequel Series Stalls at Peacock as Alicia Silverstone Remains Attached

The Clueless sequel series, which would have Alicia Silverstone reprise Cher Horowitz, is no longer moving forward at Peacock. Announced in April 2025, the project remains highly regarded by CBS Studios and Paramount, and would pick up Cher’s life years after the film. Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, and Jordan Weiss are set to write and exec-produce, with Silverstone also executive producing and starring. Amy Heckerling and Robert Lawrence are among the executive producers, while Universal Television was previously attached but is no longer involved. Peacock had also explored a separate Clueless project in 2020 focusing on Dionne, but that did not move ahead. The show is expected to be shopped to buyers again.
