TL;DR

Ryan Murphy's 'Doctor Odyssey' will not return for a second season on ABC as cast options expire, though the show is not officially canceled and Murphy is considering future creative directions. The series, which starred Joshua Jackson and Don Johnson, gained initial popularity but struggled with ratings and high production costs. Its future remains uncertain, with potential for revival on Hulu or other platforms, but for now, it is effectively on hold.
