Emmys Push Early Nominations for Late-Night & Reality Categories

Deadline reports the Television Academy will reveal the nominations for Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Reality Competition Program on NBC's Today between 4:45 a.m. and 5:20 a.m. PT, with the rest of the noms announced three hours later at 8:30 a.m. PT by Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller; frontrunners for Variety include The Daily Show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Saturday Night Live, while Reality contenders are expected to include Top Chef, The Traitors, The Amazing Race, Survivor and RuPaul’s Drag Race, with The Voice possibly earning a nod but not guaranteed.
