Fox Greenlights Mammoth: A Time-Shifted Gym Teacher Comedy From Lloyd & Zuker

Fox has ordered Mammoth, a live-action comedy from Modern Family’s Christopher Lloyd and Danny Zuker, based on the BBC Two UK format. The series centers on Tony Mammoth, a larger-than-life high school gym teacher who’s frozen in 1983 and thaws in 2027, finding today’s world a far cry from his ’80s mindset. Lloyd and Zuker will run and exec-produce, with BBC Studios Los Angeles and Mike Bubbins attached. Fox fully owns the series and will produce it through Fox Entertainment Studios for the 2027-28 season, a move that fits Fox’s push for ownership-style content.
