FX Orders Very Young Frankenstein: A Modern Spin on a Mel Brooks Classic

FX has ordered a series adaptation of Mel Brooks’ cult film Young Frankenstein, titled Very Young Frankenstein. The comedy comes from Stefani Robinson, Taika Waititi and Garrett Basch, with Brooks as executive producer. Zach Galifianakis leads the cast alongside Dolly Wells, Spencer House, Kumail Nanjiani and Cary Elwes; Waititi directs the pilot and Robinson wrote it. The FX/Hulu series is produced by 20th Television and is part of FX’s current pilot-to-series batch, which also includes other greenlit projects while some pilots did not move forward.
