TL;DR

Netflix canceled The Boroughs after one season despite strong reviews and a top-10 showing; Geena Davis said the cast and creators were disappointed and not given a clear explanation. THR reports the expensive production budget as a factor, though Netflix says it was a business decision. The series, created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews and executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, ends with a self-contained story, and the full season is streaming on Netflix.
