TL;DR

Gregg Sulkin returns as Mason Greyback for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’s finale, noting it took only three seconds to slip back into the role after seeing Selena Gomez. He appears in Episode 2 of four in the revival, reuniting with Gomez and Jennifer Stone. The series follows Alex Russo’s daughter Billie and, in this universe, finds Alex living with Harper and dating Mason (who is dead) as he guides her back to her family, with Sulkin leaving room for future returns.
