TL;DR

Kim Raver and Kevin McKidd are exiting Grey’s Anatomy after Season 22, with Teddy Altman and Owen Hunt wrapping their long-running storyline (including a past marriage and recent reconciliation); their final episode airs May 7, and while the show is expected to be renewed, a potential budget cut could come with a smaller episode order. Creator Shonda Rhimes says the couple’s ending is a hopeful one and the door remains open for future appearances.
