HBO Max Passes on Milo Ventimiglia’s Cop Drama American Blue, Eyes New Buyer

Deadline reports HBO Max is not moving forward with American Blue, a Milo Ventimiglia-led cop drama from Warner Bros. Television, and is shopping the project to other buyers. Written by Jeremy Carver and directed by David Ayer, the series follows Brian “Milk” Milkovich as he returns to Joliet, Illinois to save a beleaguered police force while seeking redemption, with a multi-episode format similar to the Pitt model and a large ensemble cast.
