Chief of War, a historical drama on Apple TV+ starring Jason Momoa, explores the unification of the Hawaiian kingdoms with impressive production design and a rich historical backdrop. However, it struggles with storytelling coherence, character development, and balancing historical accuracy with engaging narrative, leaving potential unfulfilled despite its compelling setting and cast.
