TL;DR

Peacock canceled Ponies after one season despite strong critical praise (94% on Rotten Tomatoes) and positive viewer response, citing insufficient viewership to justify renewal. Set in 1977 Moscow, the espionage series stars Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as Bea and Twila, embassy workers who become CIA operatives, with Season 1 ending on multiple cliffhangers that won’t be resolved without a new season.
