Peacock’s Dungeon Crawler Carl Taps Heisserer as Co-Showrunner

Peacock’s live-action Dungeon Crawler Carl series has named Eric Heisserer as co-showrunner alongside Chris Yost, with Universal Global Television producing. The adaptation is based on Matt Dinniman’s LitRPG novels; Jeff Hays will voice Princess Donut, and Dinniman is a co-executive producer. Heisserer — known for Shadow and Bone, Bird Box and Arrival — joins the project with Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door and other producers. The eight-book series has sold over 14 million copies across formats, and its Audible edition has logged more than 140 million listening hours.
